Our Mission
We help people manage anxiety and stress by transforming the way they breathe. With real-time feedback, gentle guidance, and trauma-informed design, Neuma supports your nervous system wherever you are.
Meditation and breathwork offered relief, but his underlying breathing stayed stuck in guard mode. That disconnect sparked a breakthrough: his own breath was carrying the weight of unprocessed trauma. Combining lived experience with human-centered technology, created Neuma as a wearable reminder that your breath can be your guide back to yourself at every moment of every day.

Our Story
Neuma began as a deeply personal journey. The founder spent much of his life unaware of how early childhood trauma shaped his body and mind. It wasn’t until his thirties, just a year after filing his first patent for what would become Neuma, that the full picture of his early life came into focus. At three months old removed from an abusive environment, an experience that would echo through his health and behaviour for decades. Diagnosed as a child with asthma, ADHD, and OCD, later faced high blood pressure and a default pattern of fast, shallow breathing, unconscious survival traits from past trauma.
Bible camp with my daughter turned into a surprise brainstorming session for Neuma's logo! She drew up some amazing ideas, including one with counting bars that I still think is genius. Love seeing her creativity and enthusiasm for the app.
